Conversion to electromobility and expansion of the charging infrastructure
A major part of our company fleet has been converted to electric vehicles in recent years. We have installed new charging stations at our main location in Marchtrenk to support this transformation. This means that 34 vehicles can currently be charged simultaneously in Marchtrenk. In addition, charging options are available in Plant III for four vehicles and for a further six vehicles in the sterner training centre.
Thanks to the photovoltaic system on our roofs, vehicles can be charged directly with renewable electrical energy which we generate ourselves. Fronius EMIL, the smart software solution for charging management, ensures fully automated provision of electricity to the entire company fleet – intelligently and individually coordinated with company-wide electricity consumption. Find out more about our charging solution here (Starlim Spritzguss GmbH uses Fronius EMIL).
This represents a further step in our continuous efforts to enhance efficiency. Energy consumption is not reduced as a result, but we require less fossil fuels and, consequently, reduce our CO2 emissions.
