40 years of apprenticeship training
We are celebrating a special anniversary in 2016 – the 40th anniversary of starlim-sterner apprenticeship training!
Believe it or not, starlim-sterner apprenticeship training has been around for 40 years! The first apprentice was accepted as a toolmaker in 1976. The company founder Franz Sterner actually trained him personally. Since then 200 apprentices have already been trained by our staff. Today we employ 48 apprentices and this number is constantly growing. Whereas just four apprentices were accepted in 2007, it was up to 15 in 2015. Today seven full-time trainers educate young people in the occupations of metal technician (main module tool making)/plastic mold maker, mechatronics technician (main module production technology), metal technician (main module mechanical engineering) and design engineer (focus tool making).
At starlim-sterner 2016 is therefore all about the motto “40 years of starlim-sterner apprenticeship training” and we are going to celebrate this anniversary in style.
