starlim has its own development laboratory for silicone components at its headquarters in Marchtrenk. This offers many advantages that you as a customer benefit from in the product development cycle.

- Chemical tests in low volume heat storage ovens, for example, for the service life simulation
- Test device for material characterization for the simulation
- Laboratory tests on complete systems for failure analysis
- Laboratory sample production as hand samples from “real material”

- Mechanical processing of complete systems, for example, for error analysis or preparation for testing
- Electrical tests
- Measurement of stress relaxation
- Measurement of tension and compression set
- Force-displacement measurement up to 5 kN (non-contact measurement of elongation)

In our in-house tool shop, the molds for the injection molding production of the starlim are designed and built. This makes us flexible and independent.

Rapid Tooling
Receiving the first near-series LSR parts from starlim after just 10 days is possible thanks to rapid tooling from sterner. This concept was developed in order to be able to offer customers the first injection molded parts within a short period of time.

With the help of a test tool, we can manufacture the first LSR injection molded parts for starlim’s customers under series conditions within a very short time.
Silicone Micro Molding
Micro-silicone components lighter than 10 mg
Silicone micro molding is a specialized manufacturing process employed to produce extremely small precision silicone components. It is a further development of the classic injection molding process where the focus is on the processing of silicone in microscopic dimensions. We at starlim are capable of manufacturing micro-silicone components weighing less than 10 mg with precision undercuts and indentations.
Clean room

In order to have a controlled environment for the production of the purest silicone parts, starlim has its own clean room. This is certified according to the classes ISO 14644-1 class 7 & 8 as well as GMP class C&D.
Production
Production
In the fully automatic injection molding process, one-component and multi-component parts are made from silicone at starlim. Production takes place at the Austrian locations in Marchtrenk, Weißkirchen and Lambach as well as in our Canadian branch in London / Ontario.
